You don’t need a website
Your calculator has its own address (pricemywash.com/q/your-business) that works on its own. Put it where your customers already are:
- Google Business Profile — as the booking or quote link. For a lot of owners this is where most requests come from.
- Facebook — the page’s button, and in posts and group replies where a link is allowed.
- A QR code — download it on Share and print it on door hangers, yard signs, the truck or an invoice.
These carry exactly the same calculator, the same prices and the same alerts as the code on your site. Adding the code later changes nothing about the link.
How we know it’s live
The one line you paste loads a tiny script. The first time a real visitor opens a page carrying it, the script tells us which address it ran on, and Share flips from Not installed yet to Live on your-site.com. You don’t have to press anything — but if you’d rather check now, save your website address and press Check install, and we’ll open the page ourselves and look.
If nothing has been seen after a day we send a nudge, and again after three days and a week. Once it’s live the nudges stop.
I pasted it and nothing shows up
In the order that fixes it most often:
- Look at the real site, not the editor. Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and GoDaddy all skip added code in their preview, and several skip it while you’re signed in. Open your address in a private window.
- Publish the site. Pasting code into a builder is not the same as publishing it.
- Check you pasted the whole line, in one piece, into the footer or custom-code box — not into a page’s text.
- One way per page. If a page already shows the calculator inside it, the floating button hides itself on that page. That’s on purpose.
- Clear the cache. WP Rocket, Cloudflare and most builders cache pages; purge, or wait a few minutes.
- Ask about the security policy. A site with a strict Content-Security-Policy has to allow our widget host. The step-by-step for your builder — with the exact wording to send your web person — is in the install guides.
The button covers my chat bubble or cookie bar
It already moves itself above cookie and chat bars. If it still sits on top of something, the Share page has two switches under “If the button covers something”: move it to the bottom left, or lift it up to 200 px. Both change the one line you paste; copy it again after you change them.
My web person does my site
On Share, email the steps to my web person sends them their builder’s three steps, your code and a link to the guide, with replies coming back to you. You can send up to five of these a day. While you wait, use the price link — it works today and the leads are the same.
Testing it yourself without making a fake lead
Open your calculator and go through it. If you do send a request, you’ll get the alert like any other lead — just delete it from Leads afterwards. Your own visits to your own site aren’t counted in your statistics while you’re signed in to the dashboard on the same connection, so testing doesn’t spoil the numbers on Reports.
Moving or changing your website
The line you paste doesn’t know or care which builder you use, so it survives a redesign as long as the code is still in the new site’s footer. A new domain is fine too — the status card simply starts naming the new one. If you retire a site altogether and only use the link, nothing breaks.
