What it costs
You pay nothing while you’re paused. A pause is not a cancellation and not a cheaper plan: the subscription simply isn’t billed while it’s paused, and picks up again when you resume, at the price you already have.
It takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for, so nothing is refunded for the month you’re in. Paddle confirms it, usually within a minute, and the billing page then shows the date it starts. Until that date nothing changes at all.
What homeowners see while you’re paused
The calculator stays on your site and on your link. It asks the same questions, but instead of a price it says you’re back in spring, and the button becomes Ask about spring. The request form is still there, so a homeowner who wants you in March can leave their details in January.
You still get the alert email for those requests, and it still carries the price your prices would have given — you just don’t have to honour a number you quoted in the off season.
What happens to your account
- Your prices are untouched. Nothing to republish when you come back.
- Your price link and QR code keep working, so anything printed stays valid.
- Your leads stay in the dashboard and in the CSV.
- Your limits go back to the Free ones while paused — the “Instant prices by PriceMyWash” line comes back under the widget and leads are counted again. Every request still reaches you.
Coming back in spring
Billing → Resume my plan. Billing starts again from that date and your prices are back on the next page load. You can also resume before the pause has even started, which simply cancels it.
If you can’t see the pause card
The winter pause is for a running monthly subscription. It isn’t offered when:
- You’re on Free. There’s nothing to pause — Free costs nothing, all winter.
- You paid for a year (Founding, or Solo yearly). The winter is already paid for; pausing would only lose you months.
- A change is already scheduled — a cancellation, or a pause you’ve just asked for.
Pause or cancel?
Cancel and you drop to Free at the end of the period: you keep the calculator, the link and the leads, the badge comes back and leads are counted again. That is a perfectly good winter too — the difference is that resuming a pause is one button and doesn’t ask for your card again.
Either way, don’t take the calculator off your site for the winter. Homeowners book spring work in February, and a page that answers them in January is how you get that call. If your season works differently from this — you wash year-round, or you shut for six months — say so to support@pricemywash.com; the rules are new and we’d rather hear it than guess.
