HelpYour data, your leads and privacy

The homeowner details your calculator collects belong to your business. We hold them for you, we don’t sell them, and we don’t contact anyone in that list ourselves.

Who is responsible for the leads

You are. When a homeowner asks your calculator for a price, that request is your customer data: in the language of the law you are the controller and we are your processor, and we only do what the service needs. We put that in writing — the data processing addendum applies automatically, without you having to sign anything.

Practically, it means: we never sell or share your leads, no other business ever sees them, and we don’t market to them. The only email we ever send a homeowner is the copy of their own price — and only if you switched that on.

What we collect from a homeowner, for you

  • Name, mobile, email if they give one, and the service address or ZIP — so you can call them back.
  • Their answers (services, stories, size) and the price range they were shown.
  • The page they were on and where they came from, so you know which channel works.
  • Their agreement to be contacted: the exact wording, the time, and whether they ticked the optional offers box.
  • A one-way scrambled version of their IP address, to stop spam. The plain address is never stored.

Homeowners get their own short notice — what happens to my details — linked from the consent line on the calculator, so nobody is surprised.

What the widget does on your visitors’ browsers

The calculator runs on its own address and sets no cookies. The script on your pages counts page views and visits (one per browser tab, using a random id kept only in that tab), and counts form submissions as a number — never what was typed, never which form. It’s deliberately blunt: we can’t tell you who visited, because we don’t know.

That is usually all a cookie banner needs to know: nothing we set is a tracking cookie, and none of it follows anyone across sites. If your website already has a consent tool, our widget doesn’t need a category of its own; if your web person disagrees, send them the policy.

How long things are kept

  • Leads — 24 months by default, then deleted automatically. Pick 3, 6, 12 or 24 months under Keep leads for on your Account page; a shorter period takes effect in the next nightly clean-up. Delete one yourself whenever you like.
  • Visitor counts — daily totals per calculator for 36 months. The hashed tab id and your own hashed IP are deleted after two days.
  • Demo page views — 12 months.
  • Everything else — deleted within 30 days of closing your account.

Getting your data out, or deleted

  • All of it: Account → Download my data gives you a JSON file with your account, workspace, prices, leads and any past jobs you entered.
  • Just the leads, in a form a spreadsheet likes: Download CSV on the leads list.
  • One lead: open it and press Delete. It asks once, then it’s gone for good — including from our backups as those age out.
  • The whole account: Account → Delete account. A workspace where you are the only member goes with you, with all its data.

If a homeowner asks you to delete their details, delete the lead — that’s the whole of it on our side. If one writes to us instead, we pass it to you within five business days and don’t answer for you.

Where your data lives, and who else touches it

Servers, database and backups are in Germany; backups are encrypted. Everything else is a named company doing one job — email delivery, spam protection, payments, the support chat — and each one is listed, with what it processes and where, on the subprocessors page. We give 14 days’ notice there before adding one.

Payments are the one thing we don’t hold at all: Paddle is the merchant of record and takes the card details itself. We never see them.

The support chat

When the chat is switched on it appears only in your dashboard — never on your website, never on your price link, never inside the calculator a homeowner uses. It comes from Crisp, in France, and nothing at all is fetched from them until you press Chat with us.

Once you do, Crisp stores what you’d expect: the name and email you give, your messages, and an identifier in your own browser so the conversation is still there when you come back. Don’t paste a homeowner’s details into the chat — send us the lead’s id from the dashboard and we’ll look it up. You can always use support@pricemywash.com instead; email reaches the same person.

Security, and telling us about a problem

What we do to protect the data, and what we don’t have yet, is written down honestly on the security page. Found a hole? Email security@pricemywash.com — we won’t come after anyone doing good-faith research.

Emails you didn’t ask for

If we wrote to your business before you signed up, that was our cold outreach, and every one of those emails has a one-click opt-out. Using it removes the demo page and stops everything, for good. We keep a record that you opted out — that record is the only way to be sure we never write again.

Product emails are different: lead alerts come because you asked for them, and the Monday report has its own one-click stop link that leaves your alerts alone.

FAQ

Questions owners ask

Who owns the leads?

Your business does. We process them on your behalf as your processor under the data processing addendum, which applies automatically. We never sell or share them, and we don’t market to your customers.

Does the widget set cookies on my website?

No. The calculator runs on its own address and sets no cookies. The script on your pages counts page views and visits, and counts form submissions as a number only — never what was typed.

How do I get all my data out?

Account → Download my data gives you a JSON file with your account, workspace, prices, leads and past jobs. Download CSV on the leads list gives you just the leads, for a spreadsheet.

Does the support chat see my customers’ details?

Only what you type into it. The chat appears in your dashboard only — never on your website, your price link or the calculator a homeowner uses. Send us a lead’s id rather than a homeowner’s details.

Didn’t answer your question?

Email support@pricemywash.com from the address you signed up with and say what you were trying to do. We’re a one-person company: allow up to two business days for a reply.
